BEST OF 2013

Here we go. Off to 2014. Take a look back at two of my favorite outfits from each month of the year. This year has been great, finally decided to start the blog, went to amazing places, made some great friends, and so on. Hope the next one will be even better and brings a lot of opportunities. Do tell me what were some of your favorite moments from the blog throughout 2013, I would love to know. By the way, notice how long my hair got since January? Just thought I should mention it haha. Aqui vamos nós para 2014. Aqui podem rever os meus dois outfits favoritos de cada mês. Este ano só trouxe coisas boas, finalmente decidi começar o blog, visitei sítios fantásticos, conheci pessoas fantásticas e por aí fora. Espero que o próximo seja ainda melhor e que me traga muitas oportunidades. Digam-me quais foram os vossos momentos favoritos aqui no blog, adorava saber. Só um aparte, já repararam o quanto o meu cabelo cresceu desde Janeiro? Achei que o devia dizer haha. Espero que se divirtam muito hoje à noite e BOM ANO NOVO <3

So it's about that time of year when panic is installed. From papers to exams, a lot of work is demanded and a huge amount of concentration (which I deeply lack) is much needed. Of course, due to this situation, the blog is bound to suffer a little bit. So, now you know. This sweater was already featured in a special "Sweater Weather" post. I ordered it from Gina Tricot and couldn't be more pleased with it. I love to pair it with all black items. Then again, you can't go wrong with these kinds of colors. The earrings were also featured on a post called "New Gems" and got a lot of compliments on them. I wear them once in a while and I really like the effect they add to an outfit. Hope you liked this one!

Portanto, chegou aquela altura do ano em que o pânico está mais do que instalado. Desde trabalhos a exames, muito trabalho é exigido e muita concentração (que eu não tenho porque me distraio com tudo...) é necessária. Claro que, com tudo isto, o blog acaba por sofrer. Por isso, já sabem como vai ser nos próximos tempos. Já vos tinha mostrado esta camisola no post "Sweater Weather". Encomendei-a da Gina Tricot e não podia estar mais feliz com a minha escolha. Adoro combiná-la com peças pretas. Não há como errar com este tipo de cores. Os brincos também já foram falados no post "New Gems" e recebi bastantes elogios. Costumo usá-los de vez em quando porque dão todo um outro efeito ao outfit. Espero que tenham gostado deste look!

Since Christmas is right around the corner, literally, it is about time to post a make-up story to inspire you on a make-up look for tonight or tomorrow. This time, a gold simple eye and some bold red lips will do it. I went with my Chanel 19 "Gabrielle" lipstick and my Sleek "Au Naturel" palette (never disappoints) with some extra bright gold shadow from Sephora. The eyeliner is always the same one, my favorite, L'Oréal Super Slim liner. Another option for this look is a silver shadow. Both of them work amazingly and are perfect for the occasion being. Como o Natal está mesmo à porta, literalmente, chegou a altura de vos mostrar uma maquilhagem para se inspirarem para hoje à noite ou amanhã. Desta vez, os olhos com sombras douradas e os lábios vermelhos são a escolha acertada. Escolhi o batom da Chanel 19 "Gabrielle", a minha palete de sombras da Sleek "Au Naturel", que nunca me desilude, e uma sombra dourado mais vibrante da Sephora. O eyeliner, como sempre, foi o Super Slim Liner da L'Oréal. Outra opção para este look é uma sombra prateada. Qualquer uma das duas vai ficar bem para a ocasião. Since we are warming up the christmas spirit here on the blog, I decided to do a little whislist, christmas edition. So, if anyone close to me is watching this... Hint hint! Let's talk about each item individually. The book by the famous Man Repeller, Leandra Medine, has been on my mind for a while now. I read her blog regularly and it never disappoints. She's always so hilarious with all her thoughts about everything (which in my opinion are just brilliant) that I can't really imagine her book being any less. The polishes, perfect for the festivities, right? Love the dark blue and it would look perfect with the silver glitter on top. Maybe a good option for NYE. The faux-fur coat I may or may not already have it under my xmas tree. The chunky boots are something I'm looking for and found this perfect and super cheap option so I might be getting those soon. And of course a mini iPad. Doesn't mean I'm getting, but it's a great idea for a gift. So, that's a wrap. Hope you liked my choices!

Como já estamos dentro do espírito natalício aqui no blog, achei por bem criar uma lista de possíveis prendinhas. Por isso, se alguém da minha família (e etc.) estiver a ver isto... Hint hint! Vamos então ao que interessa. O livro é da famosa Leandra Medine do "Man Repeller" e já o tenho em vista de olhos há algum tempo. Ela tem imensa piada, sempre com tudo o que tem a dizer sobre o que seja (e que é brilhante na minha opinião) que nem consigo imaginar o quão fantástica estará toda aquela loucura num livro. Os vernizes são perfeitos para esta época não é verdade? Adoro o azul escuro que ia ficar super bem com os brilhantes prateados por cima. Se calhar até pode ser uma boa opção para a passagem de ano. O casaco de pêlo, pode ou não já estar debaixo da minha árvore. Estas botas são algo que já andava à procura há algum tempo a penso que encontrei as perfeitas porque são super baratas e giras. E como não poderia faltar, um iPad mini. Não quer dizer que o vou ter (atenção), mas acho que é uma boa ideia para uma prenda. E, é isto. Espero que tenham gostado da minha listinha!

XMAS TIME

Chirstmas is always one of my favorite times of the whole year. I love how everywhere you go everything is so nicely decorated and colorful. Today I was laying around the house (supposably studying, but didn't feel like it at the moment) and thought "I should take some pictures of the lights and ornaments on our xmas tree" and so I did. It was only appropriate to do so. This year it's all about red and gold. I usually go for the blue and gold mix but my brothers convinced me it was time to innovate. O Natal é sempre uma das minhas alturas favoritas do ano. Adoro que a todo o lado onde vá haja sempre decorações e esteja tudo super colorido. Hoje estava aqui por casa (supostamente a estudar mas no momento não estava a resultar de todo, sabem como é) e pensei "devia ir tirar umas fotos às luzes e às bolas da árvore de Natal" e assim o fiz. Este ano escolhemos os tons vermelho e dourado. Normalmente uso as bolas azuis e douradas mas os meus irmãos convenceram-me que estava na altura de inovar nas cores.
