XMAS TIME

Chirstmas is always one of my favorite times of the whole year. I love how everywhere you go everything is so nicely decorated and colorful. Today I was laying around the house (supposably studying, but didn't feel like it at the moment) and thought "I should take some pictures of the lights and ornaments on our xmas tree" and so I did. It was only appropriate to do so. This year it's all about red and gold. I usually go for the blue and gold mix but my brothers convinced me it was time to innovate. O Natal é sempre uma das minhas alturas favoritas do ano. Adoro que a todo o lado onde vá haja sempre decorações e esteja tudo super colorido. Hoje estava aqui por casa (supostamente a estudar mas no momento não estava a resultar de todo, sabem como é) e pensei "devia ir tirar umas fotos às luzes e às bolas da árvore de Natal" e assim o fiz. Este ano escolhemos os tons vermelho e dourado. Normalmente uso as bolas azuis e douradas mas os meus irmãos convenceram-me que estava na altura de inovar nas cores. The lack of posts around here has been some serious bussiness. It's not my fault really, I just have a lot of work and it will only get worse from here.These photos turned out so freakin' awesome. I love the sun beams and the rays of sunshine on them. We had been taking pictures for a while until we got the perfect angle and they turned out like this. I just heard that Beyoncé is coming to Portugal on the 26th and 27th of March. I'm soooo excited you have no idea! She has come to Portugal twice in the past but I could never make it, but this time... There is no stoping me! Hope you liked this outfit and the pictures.

A falta de posts aqui no blog tem-se tornado grave. Mas a culpa não é minha. Simplesmente ando cheia de trabalhos e testes, e o pior é que não vai melhorar nos próximos tempos. Estas fotos ficaram lindas! Adoro os raios de sol que apareceram nas fotos. Já estávamos a tirá-las há algum tempo quando por acaso apanhámos o ângulo certo e ficaram assim.  Descobri ontem que a Beyoncé vem a Portugal nos dias 26 e 27 de março e estou completamente maluca. Não têm noção. Ela já cá veio aí umas duas vezes e eu nunca consegui ir mas desta vez não me escapa! Espero que tenham gostado do look e das fotos.

Cold days ask for big coats. So here is the first post of me wearing a big cozy warm winter coat. I got it a long time ago but it looks timeless to me. It's a huge wrap around kind of coat and it's so simple and easy to wear. Another big love in this post is the bag. I got it for so little at Lefties and I've been using it nearly everyday 'cause it matches everything!. It's also really big which is something that a girl needs. I can't wait for Christmas to come. It's probably my favorite time of the whole year. I just love my family's traditions and that we all get to be together. It's always a lot of fun. Hope you liked this one!

Dias frios obrigam a casacos quentes. Por isso, aqui está o meu primeiro post a usar um casacão de inverno. Já o tenho há anos mas para mim vai ser sempre intemporal. É tão simples e o cinto à volta da cintura torna-o bastante fácil de usar, pouco complicado. Outra das peças a realçar neste post é a mala. Comprei-a na Lefties por tão pouco e tenho a usado sem parar porque fica bem com praticamente tudo! Também é bastante grande, que é um aspecto sempre favorável já que nós mulheres gostamos de meter tudo lá para dentro. Mal posso esperar pelo Natal, é a minha altura favorita do ano. Adoro todas as tradições da minha família e porque podemos estar todos juntos. É sempre super divertido. Espero que tenham gostado deste look!

Can I just say how much I love my city? Lisbon is absolutely one of my favorite places on earth. Every single part of it is so different yet so beautiful in its own way. I don't imagine myself living anywhere else but here (well, maybe NYC... one day...). If you're thinking about travelling and don't know where to go, you should definitely come here and see everthing this amazing city has to offer. Now about the clothes, I got this sweater at Primark and although I love how it looks I hate how it feels. It's so itchy and leaves a lot of hairs everywhere, a bit annoying actually. My advice to you is, always try things on before buying them, which I did not do on that particular day, but at least I got a pretty sweater. I decided to pair it with some gold details and it is good to go. Hope you liked it!

Posso dizer-vos o quanto adoro a minha cidade? Lisboa é absolutamente um dos meus sítios favoritos. Cada parte é tão diferente mas tão bonita à sua maneira. Não me imagino a viver em mais nenhum lado (bem... Nova Iorque maybe ahah). Se estiverem a pensar fazer uma viagem, Lisboa é sempre uma boa opção. Agora sobre as roupas, comprei esta camisola na Primark e apesar de gostar imenso de a ver, odeio tê-la vestida. Faz tanta mas tanta comichão e larga pêlo sem fim, consegue ser mesmo inervante. Moral da história, experimentem sempre antes de comprar, que foi exactamente o que eu não fiz. Decidi combiná-la com acessórios dourados e acho que ficou mesmo bem. Espero que tenham gostado!

NAILS OF THE MONTH

Let's start the last month of 2013 by talking about November's choices in nailpolish. I was little on the fall kind of classics side. A true burgundy, a dark pink, a pale beige and a purple-ish gray with glitter. Most from Sephora (from that huge stock off that they were trying to get rid of to bring the new ones into stores) and one from OPI, which I simply adore. What color have you been paiting your nails lately? Let me know, I would love to hear from you so I can get some more inspiration.

Vamos começar o último mês de 2013 por falar sobre as escolhas de vernizes de Novembro. Estive mais virada para as cores clássicas de Outono. O bordeaux, rosa escuro, bege e um roxo acinzentado com brilhantes. A maior parte é da Sephora (daquelas mega promoções do ano passado antes de trocarem pelos novos vernizes) e um da OPI, que eu simplesmente adoro. Que cor têm escolhido ultimamente? Adorava saber para me poder inspirar também.

CLOVER

I've never been into the whole "ripped" jeans look but these babies are definitely a good option. I got the at Zara just this weekend and I'm in love. They are super comfy and fit really well. The knee cut is just the enough amount of edgyness that I need in my jeans. This outfit is a pretty basic one, just some jeans and a basic shirt. To make it more fun I decided to add a big (lovable) statement necklace on top. The acrylic material of the necklace allows it to be paired with pretty much anything. I love this little place we discovered when taking pictures, it looks so magical and relaxing. The floor full of clovers really add a little somethin' somethin' to the photos, I guess. Nunca fui grande fã de calças super rasgadas mas estas são definitivamente uma boa opção. Comprei-as na Zara ainda este fim-de-semana e estou a amá-las. São super confortáveis e assentam super bem. O corte nos joelhos é o suficiente para mim. Este outfit é bastante simples, calças de ganga e camisola básica. Por isso, acrescentei-lhe este colar (lindo de morrer) "statement" para o tornar mais divertido. Adoro o local onde tirámos as fotos, descobrimos hoje e ficámos encantadas, é tão calmo. O chão estava cheio de trevos o que torna as fotos ainda mais especiais, digo eu. Espero que tenham gostado deste look!

BLACK BOOTIES III

Every year I allow myself a pair of topshop boots. These were this year's choice. I first saw them on Angelica Blick's blog (my all time favorite blog, on which I might be doing a post on really soon) and I immediately knew I had to have them. They were a big expensive but the quality is really good and I do get a lot of use out of them. I love the gold detailings, makes them somewhat different to all my other black boots. They are also really comfortable, so another plus there. Oh and for those of you who were wondering, I never had any problems ordering things from Topshop. They get here really fast and without an issue. Hope you liked them!

Todos os anos permito-me a mim mesma comprar umas botas na Topshop. Estas foram a escolha deste ano. A primeira vez que as vi foi no blog da Angelica Blick (o meu blog favorito, sobre o qual posso vir a fazer um post muito em breve) e percebi logo que tinha que as ter. Foram um pouco caras mas a qualidade é fantástica e sei que lhes vou dar imenso uso, aliás tenho dado imenso uso. Adoro os detalhes em dourado, tornam-nas um pouco diferentes de todas as minhas outras botas pretas. Também são super confortáveis, por isso mais um ponto positivo. Ah, para aqueles quem quiser saber, nunca tive qualquer problema em encomendar botas da Topshop. Chega sempre tudo rápido e sem qualquer problema. Espero que tenham gostado!
